Kitcha Dental Clinic Chiang Mai

Dental treatment in Chiang Mai from abroad

You can send your X-rays or photos before you travel. A dentist in the relevant specialty reviews them and gives you a preliminary opinion, so you can plan how long to stay. Kitcha Dental Clinic has cared for patients in Chiang Mai since 1981, and today the clinic is opposite Chiang Mai Gate.

  • Open every day, 09:00–20:00
  • Opposite Chiang Mai Gate
  • Coordinators in English and Thai

Your visit, step by step

  1. Tell us what you need

Message us on WhatsApp, LINE or Messenger, email us, or use the appointment form. A coordinator replies in English or Thai, and a coordinator who speaks Chinese is also available.

  2. Send your X-rays or photos

Recent X-rays, scans or clear photos of your teeth can be sent by email, WhatsApp, LINE or Messenger. A dentist in the relevant specialty reviews them. We aim to reply within a day; when several specialties need to look at your case, it can take 48–72 hours.

  3. Get a preliminary opinion

Photos and X-rays allow a preliminary opinion only. Your final treatment plan and fee are confirmed after an examination in person, because some things can only be checked in the mouth.

  4. Plan your dates

Before you book flights, tell us your travel dates. We plan your visits around them — for example, two separate trips for dental implants. If your plans change, you can reschedule or cancel; please let us know in advance.

  5. Treatment in Chiang Mai

Your first visit starts with an examination and the X-rays your dentist needs. You receive a written estimate before treatment begins, and payment follows each stage of treatment.

  6. After you go home

If you have a question or a problem, send us a photo and a short description on WhatsApp or LINE and your dentist will advise you.

How long to stay

  • Check-up, cleaning and fillings

Can usually be done during a short stay.

  • Root canal treatment

Some teeth are finished in one visit; most need two or three. Your dentist tells you how many visits your tooth needs, and how far apart they are, after reviewing your X-ray.

  • Crowns and bridges

About 3–7 days for laboratory crowns and bridges. Digital CAD/CAM crowns can usually be ready the next day; they are not made on the same day.

  • Veneers

    About 7–10 days.

  • Dental implants

Two trips: about 1–2 weeks for examination and surgery, then usually 2–6 months of healing at home, then about 1–2 weeks for the final teeth. Bone grafting or a sinus lift can lengthen the healing time.

  • All-on-4 and All-on-6

Also planned in two trips. Fixed temporary teeth are usually fitted after surgery, while the implants integrate with the bone.

  • Flying after surgery

Most people can travel 2–3 days after implant surgery or an extraction; your dentist confirms this for your case. After a sinus lift, avoid flying until your dentist tells you the area has healed enough.

  • Your own plan

These are typical times. Your dentist confirms your own plan after the examination.

Not sure how long you need?

Send your X-rays or photos and your travel dates. A dentist in the relevant specialty reviews them and helps you plan your stay.

Insurance and payment

Direct billing is available for eligible Cigna, Allianz, International SOS and April patients, after benefit verification and pre-authorization. Please contact us before your visit so we can check your cover. For other insurers, we provide itemized receipts and medical certificates in English so you can make your own claim.

You can pay in Thai baht cash, by credit card (including American Express), Thai QR PromptPay, PayPal, Alipay or bank transfer.

For dental implants, a deposit is paid before surgery and the surgical fee in full on the day of surgery. Crowns, veneers, bridges, inlays, onlays and dentures are paid in full on the day of preparation or impression. Fees are charged for each completed procedure.

The first examination has a consultation fee, shown on our prices page. Prices are shown as ranges: your final fee depends on what the examination finds, and may include additional items, such as a rubber dam or special materials, when your treatment needs them. Your dentist explains these before treatment.

Crowns, bridges, veneers and implant restorations made at our clinic have a 1-year warranty on the restoration, terms apply. Warranty work is done at the clinic in Chiang Mai.
