Full Mouth Missing Teeth
Why you should replace missing teeth?
Having edentulous jaws or a need to replace all existing teeth can be dishearting and daunting. Missing several teeth can severely influence your general health, appearance and self-esteem. Consequences of tooth loss include effects on:
- jaw bone and gum : when there is no teeth, gums and bone are no longer exercised so stimulated that can cause jaw bone to shrink over time. Adjacent teeth can collapse into the empty spaces.
- appearance : reduced jaw bone can make you look older and cheeks to sag as there is insufficent bone to support and stablize lips and cheeks on the inside
With today’s advancements in dentistry, there are now several techniques and implant systems that can bring back the confidence and function to you.

All-on-4 Implants
All-on-4 / ProArch is a dental implant treatment that provides patients with a provisional fixed full-arch prosthesis on the day of surgery. This means that you have an immediate functioning temporary fixed hybrid bridge or full overdentures during the same surgical period. During the All-on-4 / ProArch treatment procedure, four implants are placed into the jaw bone – two straight anterior implants and two implants tilted up at 45º in the posterior area. Bone grafts is avoided by tilting the posterior implants by using the available front jaw bone. All-on-4 / ProArch is an efficient, cost-efficient, graftless solution for treating an edentulous mandible as full mouth dental implants.
Full Dental Implant Bridges
After confirming your dental implant treatment plan, your implant oral surgeon process the 1st stage dental implant surgery of embedding the implant post into the jaw bone. Dental implant post placement typically takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per tooth. The session timings vary with the location of the implant post placement, implant procedure as well as type of implant system used. Dental implants are normally done under local anaesthesia. At our thailand dental clinic, you are able to opt for surgical implant under other sedative methods. On implant post placement, gums are stitched and a healing cap is placed to prevent any food particles trapping at the mouth of the implant post. Your dentist arranges an examination of the wound and cut the silk thread typically around 5 to 10 days after implant post placement.
Implant Supported Overdentures
Dental Implant supported dentures are an economical option compared to other full mouth fixed implant options. Two to four implants may be placed as retention anchors. A locator, bar or ball is attached as implant abutments and an overdentures snaps over the abutments. Full implant overdentures is easy to care for, clean and maintain. Unlike full dentures, implant suppor overdentures will not slip and slide providing you with the confidence to speak and smile.
Zygoma Implants
The zygoma implant concepts follows a similar concept to All-on-4 / ProArch for an immediate full-arch prosthetic rehabilitation on upper jaw. In certain cases, posterior support cannot be achieved with the traditional All-on-4 / ProArch treatment concept. The Brånemark Zygoma implant is an innovative technique where long dental implant posts are embedded into the zygoma area to acquire posterior anchorage for a full-arch prosthesis. Zygoma Implants enbles cases severe bone loss to have a fixed provisional prosthesis fitted immediately after surgery and avoid potential multiple surgeries required with grafting.
