Full mouth rehabilitation — restoring worn and broken teeth in Chiang Mai
When many teeth are worn, broken or held together by old fillings and crowns, full mouth rehabilitation restores your teeth, bite and smile together through one planned sequence of treatment. At Kitcha Dental Clinic, prosthodontists lead the planning with our endodontists, periodontists, orthodontists and implant dentists, and you receive a written plan and estimate before major treatment begins.
- Open every day, 09:00–20:00

Is this you?
- Teeth worn flat or short, often from years of grinding, acid or wear.
- Several old fillings or crowns that are chipping, leaking or need replacing.
- Broken or cracked teeth, gaps, or chewing on one side.
- Your bite feels like it has "closed down", or your teeth meet differently than they used to.
- You have been told you need "a lot of work" and would like one clear plan.
Your dentist confirms which approach suits you after the examination.
Full mouth rehabilitation, or something else?

Many of your own teeth remain, but they are worn, broken or failing
Start here. Full mouth rehabilitation restores the teeth you still have, and replaces missing ones where needed, in one planned sequence.
A whole jaw of teeth is missing, or the remaining teeth are beyond repair
Read about full-arch implant bridges, which replace a whole jaw of teeth with a fixed bridge.
Your teeth are healthy and you mainly want to change how your smile looks
Read about digital smile design and cosmetic dentistry, which focus on the appearance of your smile.
One or two damaged teeth
A crown or onlay for each damaged tooth is usually the place to start.
Jaw pain, clicking or teeth grinding
Jaw pain and teeth grinding have their own assessment and treatment, which your dentist may combine with your plan.
How we plan it

A full-mouth examination
Teeth, gums, jaw joints and bite, with a preliminary plan.
X-rays and 3D imaging
A panoramic X-ray, and a CBCT scan when roots, bone or the jaw need a 3D view.
Digital scans and photos
A TRIOS intraoral scan, photos, and digital smile design when appearance is a priority.
Study models and a wax-up
Models with the planned shape built up in wax, and bite analysis on mounted models, so you can see the proposed changes first.
Planning comes before major treatment, and your dentist collects the records your case needs. The dentists involved then review the records together and explain the plan and its order.
The phases of treatment

Records and diagnosis
The examination, X-rays, scans and models described above.
Your plan and written estimate
Often divided into stages so you can plan time and budget.
Building a healthy foundation
Gum treatment, root canal treatment, removal of teeth that are beyond repair, and implants where they are planned.
Trial phase
Provisional (temporary) restorations made to the planned shape and bite. You wear them for a period so you and your dentist can check chewing, speech, comfort and appearance before the final work is made.
Final restorations
Crowns, onlays, veneers, bridges or implant restorations, often designed from digital scans and made with our ISO-certified partner laboratory, fitted in stages.
Protection and maintenance
Often a night guard or occlusal splint to protect the new work, plus regular check-ups and cleaning.
Would you like one clear plan for your teeth?
At the first visit your dentist examines your teeth, gums and bite, and explains which records and next steps your case needs before any major treatment starts.
Treatments that may be part of your plan

Crowns and onlays
To rebuild worn or broken teeth; an onlay covers part of the tooth.
Veneers
For front-tooth shape and color.
Implants and bridges
To replace missing teeth.
Root canal treatment
To keep teeth with a damaged or infected nerve.
Gum treatment
Healthy gums come before final restorations.
Orthodontics
Moving teeth first can simplify the restorations.
We preserve healthy tooth structure where clinically appropriate and explain each option clearly.
Visits, time and travel
Expect many visits over weeks to months, because some stages need healing time and the trial phase needs wearing time. Your dentist gives you a visit schedule with your plan.
If you are traveling to Chiang Mai, our coordinators arrange the stages around your travel dates, and your plan may need more than one trip.
Price and payment
After the examination, your dentist gives you a written estimate for your plan, often in stages. Crowns, onlays, veneers, implants, root canal treatment, gum treatment and X-rays are listed on our prices page, together with planning items such as the full-mouth examination report, impressions or 3D models, the diagnostic wax-up and bite analysis. Trial restorations and Digital Smile Design are shown in your estimate.
You pay as each stage is done: crowns, onlays, veneers and bridges in full on the day of preparation or impression; implants with a deposit before surgery and the surgical fee on the day of surgery. 1-year warranty on the restoration, terms apply: it covers laboratory work and implant components for treatment done at our Chiang Mai clinic; travel and accommodation are arranged separately.
Prices on our prices page are shown as ranges. Your final fee depends on what the examination finds, and may include additional items — such as a rubber dam or special materials — when your treatment needs them. Your dentist explains these before treatment.
Who treats you
Full mouth rehabilitation is planned and led by our prosthodontists — dentists with postgraduate training in prosthodontics — together with dentists trained in esthetic restorative and implant dentistry, and our endodontists, periodontists, orthodontists and oral surgeons. You can ask for a particular dentist; our coordinators will suggest the right one for your treatment.
Full mouth rehabilitation FAQs
How long does full mouth rehabilitation take?
It depends on what your mouth needs. Most plans take many visits over weeks to months, because gum treatment, implants and the trial phase need healing and adjustment time. Your dentist gives you a schedule with your written plan.
I live abroad. How many trips will I need?
It depends on your plan, and your plan may need more than one trip. Send your recent X-rays and photos first by email, WhatsApp, LINE or Messenger; after the examination in Chiang Mai, your dentist and coordinator plan the stages around your travel dates.
Will all my teeth need crowns?
Usually the plan mixes treatments. Your dentist keeps healthy tooth structure where clinically appropriate — for example, an onlay or a veneer may be enough for one tooth, and a crown may suit another. The wax-up shows which teeth need what.
Can I see what my teeth will look like before treatment?
Yes. Study models with a wax-up, digital smile design and the trial restorations let you see and try the planned shape and bite before the final work is made. They are a planning guide; the final result depends on your teeth, gums and healing.
Is this the same as All-on-4?
They are different treatments. Full mouth rehabilitation restores the teeth you still have, adding implants or bridges where teeth are missing. All-on-4 and All-on-6 replace a whole jaw of teeth with a fixed bridge on implants, for people whose teeth are missing or beyond repair.
How much does full mouth rehabilitation cost?
The fee depends on your plan. After the examination and records, your dentist gives you a written estimate, usually in stages. Crowns, onlays, veneers and implants are listed on our prices page. The final fee depends on what the examination finds and may include additional items.
How do I look after my new teeth?
Clean carefully every day, including between the teeth and around implants, wear your night guard if one is made for you, and keep your regular check-ups and cleaning visits so your dentist can check the bite and the restorations over time.
Book a full-mouth consultation
