What is invisalign?
Invisalign is a clear aligners system consisting of a series of transparent, plastic trays used to adjust teeth. They are clear alternatives to fixed clear braces for adults and teens.

Kitcha Dental Clinic in Chiang Mai uses Invisalign as its clear aligner system. Invisalign packages range from THB 79,000 (Invisalign Express and Invisalign Go) and THB 140,000 (Lite), through THB 160,000 (Moderate) and THB 180,000 (Comprehensive), to THB 200,000 for teen cases. Prices are in Thai Baht and were current as of 1 July 2026.

- What is the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist?
At Kitcha Dental Clinic in Chiang Mai, your Invisalign treatment is diagnosed and treated by an orthodontist. Orthodontists are dentists who have completed additional university training specialising in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. As with becoming a medical specialist, orthodontists complete an orthodontic residency programme of two to three years after dental school.
- What does this mean if I am treated by an orthodontist?
Although treatment planning is supported by digital software, your orthodontist still directs the mechanics and overall plan. An experienced, trained orthodontist can judge how much interproximal reduction is appropriate and the correct sequence for expanding or moving teeth, which supports a predictable result within a realistic timeframe. Outcomes still depend on the individual case and on wearing the aligners as instructed.
In Thailand, all general dentists are licensed to provide braces treatment, and a dentist does not need to be an orthodontist to offer Invisalign. At Kitcha Dental Clinic, we only allow orthodontists to treat our orthodontic and Invisalign cases. In addition to being a qualified orthodontist, they must also have completed the Align Technology certification course before treating our patients.
2. Treatment is planned and monitored digitally
- How is my aligner treatment planned?
Your treatment starts from a TRIOS intraoral scan rather than a conventional impression. Your orthodontist uses that scan to plan the sequence of tooth movements digitally and reviews the plan with you before the aligners are produced.
- How is progress tracked between visits?
Digital monitoring is available at Kitcha Dental Clinic to track how your teeth are responding between appointments, so the plan can be adjusted if movement is not progressing as expected. Not all of our orthodontists treat Invisalign cases — we assign Invisalign treatment only to orthodontists who have completed the Align Technology certification, so your diagnosis and treatment are handled by a clinician trained in the system.

3. We offer various invisalign package options

The recommended package varies with the complexity of your case as well as the number of clear aligners you need.
- Invisalign Comprehensive :no limitation on number of trays
- Invisalign Moderate : up to 26 trays
- Invisalign Lite : up to 14 trays
- Invisalign Express : up to 7 trays (previously invisalign i7)
These treatment levels aim to align overall teeth position and should be done by a trained orthodontists. There is a new invisalign iGo package that focuses only on visible front molar teeth that may be done by trained invisalign dentist.

At Kitcha Dental Clinic, the Invisalign treatment process starts with a consultation between you and your orthodontist. Digital panoramic and cephalometric X-ray images are taken and a study model is made for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Step 1 : Digital Imaging and iTero Scanning
Upon you’re decision to start invisalign, your dentist creats a 3D digitalized image of your teeth using the iTero scanner. Using the scanner enables a better aligner fit than physical impressions.
The scan is sent off by ClinCheck software to dental labs overseas that provides an post treatment computer simulation. You can thus see your new smile before you start to determine if the treatment plan is right for you.

Step 2 : ClinCheck
After scanning of your teeth, it scan is submit to ClinCheck. ClinCheck is a software that gives a 3D visual map on how each aligner trays shifts teeth into position. It uses algorithm to calculate the amount of force for each tooth movement.
Your can see the mapped out path from the first to final clear aligner. The final post treatment results can be seen without guesswork or waiting.
Step 3 : Fabrication of aligners
Upon confirming your ClinCheck treatment plan. Your clear aligners are fabricated overseas. The trays are made of patented SmartTrack material with more than 8 years of research and development and over a decade of expertise in biomechanics and material science.
SmartTrack is specially engineered that enables:
- application of gentle and constant forces
- control of tooth movements and improved predictability
- more comfortable and easy to slip on and off
Step 4 : Placement of Attachments
When your clear trays are received at Kitcha orthodontic dental center, your dentist arranges a visit to place on SmartForce attachments.
These tiny and barely noticeable placed over teeth surfaces. The attachments acts as handles to enable give your aligner to apply the correct forces in the right direction.
Step 5 : Wear Trays with Monthly Checks
Wear your clear aligners trays according to number. Each set is worn for one to two weeks. When you start wearing each new set of aligners, it is normal to feel a little extra pressure or discomfort for the first few days.
Your orthodontist at Kitcha orthodontic center arranges visits ranging between 6 to 8 weeks to check your progress, pick up the next batch of aligners and perform possible stripping as teeth shift into positions.
Wear your clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for best results. When eating and drinking, remove your aligners. Rinse your aligners every night and brush them gently with your toothbrush to keep the trays clean.You are also able to use invisalign cleaning crystals to sanitize the system during regular use
Step 6 : Retainers
On completion of wearing all your trays, your orthodontist takes a set of panoramioc and celphlometric x-rays and removes the attachments.
